For now I am not collecting but instead trying to learn and improve my skills in identifying fakes. I came across this link in Zeno and I believe the coin is genuine but corroded and crystalized. Your best bet when buying is to use one of the larger dealers that specialize in Ancient coins. You may have to pay a little more but it is much safer using their expertise in this field. More importantly than the surface pattern, the facial details are far too "soft" for this issue - Just about all of the Ardashir drachms I have ever seen are quite crisp with excellent strikes Report this Post to the Staff
