To be honest, this is a cleaned and scratched common date coin - a "details" grade. Value less than 50 cents, and I doubt any dealer would even want to buy it.   to the CCF!

I found it in a roll of coins that I got from Walmart....it was basicly black. In he beginning I though it was a canadian cent.

Cleaning a coin is a no no , but go ahead and tell us what you used . Nice Walmart find . @ Coinfrog , hope you didn't have a bad day today .

I think I made a little mistake...Cause I Cleaned the coin with small amount of water and muriatic acid...Later on I was reading about the wrong use of muriatic acid....

It may be improperly cleaned now, but if it was black before you started on it you really having hurt it that much.

Still a nice pickup in circulation. Remember..If it's dirty and it's brown....Just keep it around. Don't clean it.
