Another nickel I pulled from the collection. Not FS, but it's got very nice toning going on and it's just a super nice coin. Thoughts? Thanks! -CH27 Collector of U.S. Coins, Varieties, and Colonial Coinage

Thanks! Depending on how the grade is, I might slab this one.

What a beauty! MS-67, too bad it's not FS.

bagginess on the reverse holds this to 66 I think, the haze detracts from eye appeal IMO

I'm not so sure about the obverse . Seems to be some light wear from his hair down to bottom of bust . Rest of the coin is a beauty .

Thanks to you both. A 66 would be fine too.

Quote: I'm not so sure about the obverse . Seems to be some light wear from his hair down to bottom of bust . I think the strike was just a touch light hence the lack of FS and the slight flatness on the high points of the obverse. But for a nickel coin it's much better than average.

I will probably get this one slabbed in the next year or so, so hopefully it comes back a 67.

I'll say 67 as well - killer coin.

I agree with kanga on the slightest light strike on the obverse. MS 67. Eye Appeal 9/10. TPG able.
