Not a cracked planchet, but a planchet lamination.

Laminations happen, usually because of impurities in the metal during the rolling of the coinage strip to specified thickness, before blanking.
Interesting that it has happened in the date area.

Right on moxking........I was wondering if I was being toooooo enthusiastic, lol! I just want to get out as many different errors and great finds so I get opinions/assessments and I learn from them at the same time! Didn't Realize others were may be benefiting As Well?
