You might head on over to JandM.com and click on "catalog". There they have a basic summary of all the varieties with pics. I spent some time here looking for a thread on varieties, but could not find it. The most valuable variety would be the no shoulder fold cents of 1954-55. The second would be the 1949 "A to denticles" and then the 1965 large beads, pointed 5, and the 1985 "pointed 5". All these are worth looking for. Good luck!

Try this, I've found it to be fairly reliable, as it isn't tied to a single dealer's website:

Topher, that's a great site--and they have good diagnostic pics for the 1965 LBP5

Ah..."near" means the date (tail of the 9) and the maple leaf are closer to the rim of the coin.
I wish I had photos to illustrate.

Glad I could share it. It's the English version of a very good French Canadian website. If you think its good now, wait until they translate all of the articles over from the other site.

NSF = no shoulder fold. It's easier to look at the "I" in "DEI" and if it has serifs on the top and bottom, then it's an NSF.
