I am trying to determine the value of 1964 Canadian nickels that I came across when going through a relative's possessions. They are pretty nice but circulated. Any help out there?

If it's got the extra water line then it commands a premium, otherwise it's worth bullion value or 5c, depending on the buyer.

Like Topher said, the main thing to look for is the XWL (extra water line) under K.G.
The normal ones are still worth extra due to nickel content.

Thanks for the great pics I had posted on another link Of how you can find it and Your picture worked great. I had bought 200 face of .999 nickels from a guy about a month and a half ago and just got through searching them. I had little over 3 rolls of 1964 "2 coins over three rolls to be exact" and I found 2 extra water line coins. Thank GOD. Never found an error searching from circulation. Even though these were sorted from the nonne .999 nickels I am excited

WOW... If, you found 2 extra water lines, you are some lucky.

I have been searching nickel rolls for a long time, and haven't even come close, found lots of 1964s, but not extra water lines

I'm with SHAFTA9a. I've been searching a long time and got lots of 1964s, many in great shape, but none with an extra water line.

I'll echo the Canadians in saying those are great finds!
As for value, my Charlton's catalogue puts the AU50 at $40, with no prices for lower grades.
J & M in Vancouver sells the XWL in VF20 for $19, EF40 for $24
