If I am understanding you correctly you are saying that the sides are oriented 180 degrees apart(one side up, the other down), then that is normal coin alignment for US coins. Where did you get this coin at?

I always get confused on orientation.
Depends on how ya flip the coin. That three dimensional stuff confuses me.

just looks like an average 1799 13 star coin-tried to add image but it will not upload-any suggestions for getting picture uploaded

What size is the file? There is a 100kb limit when uploading them to CCF.

If you cannot resize the image, you can put it on a photo sharing site and link to it in your post. Put [img] and [/img] around the link so it will show the image in the message:

[img]<link to your photo>[/img]

Wow... what's with this sudden rush of 1799 dollars? Is there some conspiracy of which I don't know about?

Also, to determine the die rotation, grab and quarter and rotate it up-down. Then rotate the dollar up-down. If it's just like the quarter rotation, then there's no error.

But if not, ladies and gentlemen we might have an error!
