Seeking advise to whether send this 1956-D Jefferson nickel in to get graded. If so, maybe a possible guess on premium. Thank you for taking a look.

Based on its condition, it's worth 5¢.
I see it as VF.

Yup. Just spend it. Not everything is worth grading. Some is yes, but most of it's not.
Rest in Peace

perhaps you can tell us why you would think it is worthy of being graded, have you done research into this coin, and what nice examples sell for? if we can try to understand what you are thinking than we can give you reasons why you should or shouldn't..

Nickel is a metal that holds up very well, most all in circulation without any mint error will be worth face value.....keep looking ...good luck

This was just one of the nicer pre-1960 circulated coins that I have come across while coin roll hunting. Thank you for the replies.

Grade is VF/XF - numismatic value is 5 cents.

Cost to certify at a TPG is $30+.

Its an EF, common date circulated pre-1960 jeffersons go for 7 to 10 cents in bulk lots. If your roll searching Jeffs with regularity, you can make a few bucks by saving up the pre-1960's you find and selling in big lots but you won't make alot of money doing it because the shipping costs eat into your profit margin.

Keep searchin', noct. You'd be surprised how many '50s era 5c that have been under car seats, bottom of a abandoned purse, backs of couches,

in forgotten piggy banks for over half a century that are still unc or better.
