I have found this 1989 D Lincoln Cent and I'm not sure if this is a split plated reverse or a post strike error. I also see doubling in the obverse in LIBERTY. Can anyone tell me if it's worth holding on to?

to CCF, not seeing a doubled die obverse. There isn't much to look for in that year, check out the links below to help you see what to look for in a particular year. Keep hunting

You have there a nice example to be sure so save it if you want. It is only worth face value though.
