Thanks! In recent years I've been focusing more on quality than quantity, buying only a few select coins each year instead of trying to fill albums or complete sets. I've convinced my wife that these are all good investments, so she doesn't mind if I spend a lot on a single coin the way she would complain if I spent the same amount on, say, 10-20 lesser coins.

Nice nickel, USSID18. The Shield nickel is one of the few coins I've never had in my collection. I do have 3 counterfeit examples. I have the 1879, '80 and '81 that all look like high MS coins. I bought them on ebay from someone who sent them to PCGS and had them "No Holdered." I think I paid $20 for the trio. I sure hope the seller didn't get killed by the person he bought them from. I can take pictures if anyone is interested.

I only have two. I broke them both out. They are in my 7070 Dansco.

Yes I'm interested, let's see yours!

Glad you like it! It is literally the only year that I could afford an example in MS67 and I was lucky to stumble upon it at a coin show.

I can't really do this one because I have several MS65's and nothing higher than that. Unless MS 65 + CAC is considered a higher grade than MS65.

Go for it, Paralyse! Nobody said it had to be MS67 -- just the highest grade you own.

Maybe I'm different from others when I think $250 for a 66 is cheap. I'm saving for this MS67CAC I've been looking at

Okay, pepactonius. Where did you get the time machine?

That's how a Large Cent should look! Thanks for sharing!
