One day a family was shopping at a large coin shop. A clerk asked the 9yo boy if there was anything he was looking for. The kid asked for a Krugerrand, and pulled out some $400, the going rate at the time.
The clerk told the boy he'd have to talk to his folks before he could sell him one, so the boy went over and got his mom.
"Oh sure, it's OK if that's what he wants. His sister wants one, too. We think it's kinda silly, but that's what they want." Sister, 6yo, pulls out her money.
Darn, when I was 10 I was buying $0.50 coins. Now I am still buying $0.50 coins. I counted FIVE of my coins that are $40 or just over that price (yep, 40 not 400)!
