came across this 1958 D LWC, what is the extra part below the L in LIBERTY?

Looks like DDD. Die Deterioration Doubling shows up under the L on a lot of cents and creates a real fun time figuring out what's what at times. But on the 1958-D you would be more likely to find hub doubling under the B of LIBERTY rather than the L, but has to be a pretty good coin to see it.

gotcha thanks so much tropicalbats great info, yeah this cent is very toasty already, put in his work already. Also when you see this kind of ghosting down from the rim is that also DDD?
