Anyone have a good ebay or other dealer for bulk world coins? I'm looking at imustbreakyou7238. From his feedback he seems to be an ok if little expensive dealer. Any suggestions? Looking to buy 5-20 lbs depending on the price.

I bought from paperchasesue on a couple of occasions. Got them for $4/lb both times, and each time had a different mix. They were perfect for filling in holes in my collection and letting the kids pick out the ones they liked. I've still got plenty of duplicates that I need to get rid of one way or another. I've also bought from Yelena at https://www.worldcoin.org (those are her ebay listings), but I bought a 10kg bag directly. It clearly came from the Bundesbank as it had virtually no German coins, but I did manage a few silver and a few pre-1900. I'm probably due for another bag soon, too. There were three different categories of bags. Good, Better, and Uncirculated. PM me for more specific info if you want.

I believe those coins from the "Bundesbank" are not from the Bundesbank, but are just rebagged and marketed as such. They are probably just dealer overstocks with silver and older coins to get some bids...

Thanks for the response's guys. I sent you an email Topher. Placed a bid for 200 lbs of coins but I'm 100% sure I'll get outbid. If not my wife may kill me when she gets that package in the mail.

hc8604 - you may be right, but the lack of any German coins certainly points to an original source in Germany. And since there were no Euro cents, it leads me to believe that it isn't a recent stash either. Either way, it was lots of fun to go through, and I'm still too busy to get a proper list of extras to get rid of. I guess I should do that one of these days.

I thought I read that somewhere, I may be wrong though.

Best World Coins was great for me in the past I bought a few pounds cheap, But I just ordered 2 sealed bundesbank bags 42 pounds of coins from best world coins. so ill let you know what I get out of them. I am psyched they will be here in like 4 days! If you are really looking for older coins for resell go on ebay and buy from the people that don't really sell coins. I have found that there lots are usually old collections from past relatives and stuff found at garage sales. I once found 1 papal medal worth about 40, and a silver proof crown worth 100 in a one 1 pound lot. Just look what your buying if it has picture and ID the coins before you buy, my ebay rule is only buy from someone with 98% feedback (depending on the negative feedback I know how unruly some buyers can be) and 100+ happy customers. Its worked pretty well in the past not any lot did I ever regret buying except those crappy uncirculated lots they suck big time. Again the small dealers tend to have better lots of coins per pound then the other larger sellers. But I am paranoid lol so I tend to look for stuff I know inst cherry picked like Sealed bundesbank bags. Oh ya and there is a way to tell if someone resealed a bank bag, You look at the stitching it should have no extra holes if it does it was reselled. I have bought over 60 pounds of world coins on ebay and proud of it!

I'm waiting for a 15 pound lot I purchased from an ebay seller to get here. I bought from a guy who deals only in US and Canadian coinage. I figure that he will have dug all the Canadian and US out (and probably the silver, too, if there was any). I doubt any of the world bulk lots are really, truly "unsearched". Would you just shove them into a box and not look? I've stopped looking at any ads that use the usual BS descriptions (silver reported, 1800's coins found, etc.) or the ones that maintain that the lot was inherited from a relative and they don't know anything about coins, or any of the other seemingly endless lies told. It's pretty easy to pick out the snake oil sellers from the folks who actually have happened across a random selection once you know the tune they play. The amount of out and out fraud, lies, misrepresentation and questionable business practices in the ebay coin listings makes finding a decent, honest dealer an imperative. I've got a couple of folks I keep an eye on for new auctions.

I know what you mean, but once you have bought from a bunch of different people you learn what to look through in a lot. Besides I doubt large sellers have time to look up any coin they sell I just bought a 1 pound lot from a large seller and got 3 small silver coins about 3 dollars in silver and I only paid 8 for the lot. Trust me there are great deals out there if you know what to look for. I make tons of cash buying and reselling coins on ebay and I buy mostly bulk world coins straight from ebay.
