My lighting is bad... in 2 ways, I do have a second room light source and using micro can lighting which is diffused to some degree but I am thinking to set up a better way to diffuse the lighting. Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74846 Posts	Posted 09/18/2019 8:20 pm I wonder if your coin has been reprocessed (replated)? Looks very odd to me. Doesn't look like a normal coin with original plating. If it's been replated, then I am pretty sure it would get the details grade. I also think getting it moved to the grading forum would be better, in this case. I apologize for being late, on the follow up questions. I've been super busy with life in general. Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5786 Posts	Posted 09/19/2019 07:36 am Late to the party but as others have said it is re-plated. The edge is the deciding factor for me. Not a sign of rust on the edge and the uneven areas of plating/color. There is also an uneven area to the left of the shoulder near the rim. This is a sign of plating over an area that probably started to corrode. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow. Panther Pillar of the Community United States 751 Posts	Posted 09/19/2019 2:10 pm The shot of the wheat ear appears to be tape removed some, or protected some of the finish. The exposed surface faded with age while the underlying portion was protected. Maybe taped to a card or page ?
