I am not sure why it's overpriced. It's probably only worth maybe a few hundred dollars in a slab.

Maybe for grade? MS-63 doesn't seem that high of a grade for that kind of error though.

These are pretty cheap on ebay, upto, including, and surpassing MS63. So no idea

Ian can try to have a seller open at a reasonable price, but it's the individual seller, not GC, that determines opening.

Some folks have an unreasonable expectation of value. We see that here almost every day.

I've now been following one GC lot for nearly two years. Opening is about 20% above reasonable. I even EM'ed Ian offering that reasonable price.

The seller refused.

As I do collect these a bit, I would pay around $12 for that coin un-slabbed. The MS-63 BN grade would, in my opinion, add no value as that's a low grade for a very common error coin to be worth more than un-slabbed. Just guessing it's an uninformed seller, and hopefully not someone trying to scam someone out of a lot of money for a low value coin.
