Found this in a collection of old coins. Any ideas what it is?

It's a medal or token of some sort; not a coin.

sold for $51.20

Restrikes of the early mint medals, some made in the 20th century, will sell for about a tenth of this amount.

The OP's piece appears to evidence more wear than most I've seen. As such, and not seeing it in-hand, I'm unable to tell if it's a restrike. Perhaps, it was someone's pocket piece? The restrikes were typically of bronze composition.
