stoneman227 Pillar of the Community United States 2376 Posts	Posted 09/19/2019 8:54 pm E&V, for this to have been a piece of foriegn matter that fell out after the strike and reduced the weight of the coin then it would heve been rolled in bythe rolling mill and displaced the other coin metal , reducing it's weight, at the point. mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2740 Posts	Posted 09/19/2019 9:21 pm I would lean toward a struck-through error involving a thin flake of metal, possibly derived from another planchet. The lack of any peeling along the edges of the depression and the absence of lamination cracks anywhere on the coin would support this conjecture. Error coin writer and researcher. But I am personally curious as to why if it is a struck-through alone that it left the "GO" on GOD raised... it seems to cross through it's path, yet didn't seem to depress the letters.
