When I first learned of the inverted S, I searched really hard for that coin. I learned about this variety about the same time, so it was on my radar too. I was pretty new to this stuff then so I may have missed some, but this is the first unattributed example of either that I have ever noticed. I pulled this baby in for $17.25 shipped. This is a MAJOR find for me. There are approximately 50 mintmark varieties of the 44-S. You got the real deal here. A coin much scarcer, in my opinion, than the price would indicate. Report this Post to the Staff

If I could cut it in half and give you half I would. No worries about the bid up. I was prepared to pay $50 for it...or lose it. I can't believe we were the only two bidding on it. The seller's images are good enough to pick almost anything. I won a 1945P-DDR-014 from that seller the same night. There were no other bidders on it. Report this Post to the Staff
