Got tired of the usual quarters and dollars I resort to by default and decided to take a jab at nickels. Came out with a handful of noteworthy finds:

1920 Buffalo nickel (Nic-a-dated)
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

1938 Jefferson nickel (First issue year AND first '38 I own)
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

1940 in great shape for its age, AU at least
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

1943-S silver wartime nickel (First silver find CRH, no luck with dimes or quarters yet)
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

1970-D in MS, possibly an Unc set piece
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

2009-D (First 2009 nickel)
Nickel-Hunt-9/18/19:-Silver-Score

Would definitely do this more often if my local branches carried them more often, they don't carry as many of em for the most part, so I might consider ordering boxes in the future. Overall a great hunt imo

Congratulations. That is a nice group. Nickels have the oldest coins to CRH by far.

I used to CRH Nickels in my early collecting days . Keeper ratio back then was about 3 to 7 .

Silver at face value is always nice, but my fave is that '38. Congratulations on filling a hole in your collection!
