I've been looking online and really cant find an anwser what is the difference between the 1886 Indian Head cent Type 1 and Type 2?

This is probably the easiest way to tell. I'm quoting Rick Snow from his Red Book guide on IHCs:

The easiest way to determinte the difference is the placement of the last feather in relation to the ICA in AMERICA. On a Type I coin, the feather points between I and C. On a Type II coin, the feather points between C and A.
