I am a rank beginner who plans on attending my first coin show in Franklin Tennessee this Saturday 9-20-08. It is descibed online as having 40 tables & this show sets up at a local motel approximately once a month. Does anybody know anything about this particular show? What can I expect? Is it any good?

I hope to get a few common date circulated Indian Head cents, a Buffalo nickel, maybe a Morgan or Walking Lib, some 2x2s, and 3-ring binder holding sheets. I am assuming this shopping list would be available at even the smallest of coin shows.

Thanks, Bill

It sounds to me that you will probably fill your want list and then double it in no time. There are a few good past threads on here that have great info for beginner collectors like myself. I read them to freshen up the mind and will do so before I go to the show in my town this weekend. Make sure you show us what you found!

Be sure to get there with plenty of time to shop.

Be sure to check out ALL the dealer tables and take plenty of cash or know were the ATM is located.

Ask questions if you don't know and

Most important.... HAVE FUN!
