I found today an Indian Head penny dated 1901 ...any idea what the bottom range in price this coin goes for..it is brown. Thanks!

Bottom range would probably be .80 to 1.25, based on the prices of circulated rolls on ebay. If enough damage to make it a "cull", probably little to none. I usually keep those and give them to the young collectors at the club meeting.

Sure! but the meeting was tonight, so come next month, 3rd thurs. Its BBQ and side pot luck at a members house. Tonight, we had 12 members ( 2 under age of 14) and 2 boy scouts wanting to find out about the possibility of a merit badge. The auction had everything from foreign paper to a 1942/41 Mercury in VF. One senior member bought a couple of silver certificates for $2 ea. and gave them to the kids. Family oriented like this forum. The kids also got some lincolns from the 30s along with an IHC. We are too small to have nice auction items except, that our president drives 100 miles away to get auction items from a larger club in San Diego. It was the first 42/41 I had held in hand, almost bought it,,,,it is still in town

Figman, the commons are about $1-$2 in G-VG.
