@omlbc, the weight seems pretty close for a normal nickel. Other than the color, why are you thinking that this coin was struck on the wrong planchet?

Normal coin with severe Environmental Damage. PSD, not an error coin.

My base of knowledge is still growing. It's a coin by coin basis. This was a new one on me. Seeing a nickel this color. Had no clue.
