don't like the scratches on the lower neck area, but still a solid ef-45

It might slip into EF-40. Too much obverse wear to go higher.

Thanks everyone for the grading. For those who have not graded yet, I ended up re-scanning the coin without the 2x2 and it's a significantly better image. Cheer; Zander

I've got to go AU53 if it was lower there would be more wear on the cheek, eyebrow and tip of the ear. IMO. Nice coin!

Thanks again guys for the grading!
I think it's worth sending to ICCS. I'll update this thread with the results.
Cheers, Zander

Look for a double '5' and a double 'HP'

Was thinking the same. I see a lot of doubling on this coin; Ear lobe/letters/date etc but hard to tell. Its a bit blurry to see the HP but under a loupe you should check out date & HP. There is wear around cheek / jaw and hair for me to be higher than vf35. It could grade ef40 tops.
