Hello. So, my father had 6 uncirculated rolls of 1991 nickels, in with his coin collection. Although the finishes vary within the rolls, they are all in PL or Mint condition (not exactly sure of the term if they are uncirculated). Anyways, with this said, is there something I should know about 1991 nickels? Not sure why he kept these. Thanks.

if they are mint sealed rolls the coins, will all be mint state, which means they are business strikes. and should range in condition from ms-63-ms66.. 1991 there was a strike at the mint, and production numbers for that year where about 25% of the year before and the year after, so it is a lower total mintage on the 1991 nickels than usual.. did he have any rolls of 1991 quarters? they are worth a lot.

No rolls of quarters, unfortunately. Thank you for that information. :)
