Congrats on the crossover!

But is it just me or does this top pop VP-001 not match the reference photo for VP-001? The date looks like it's positioned further left on mdp's coin than on the NGC reference photo...

Based upon Tman's observations I created this side-by-side comparison to avoid multiple screen flips. With this comparison now easier to visually analyze, I'd like to get some opinions since there are several questions on how to proceed and the potential consequences depending upon what the consensus is.

In my opinion, this is not a VP-001/Flynn RPD-003. I need to look at a couple of other sources, that I don't have with me at the moment, to see if I can identify this one. But, VP-001 is Flynn's RPD-003 and this is not a RPD-003..

Why I say this isn't a VP-001: Notice the placement of 1 in the date in relation to the B in the neck. Not marked, but also note the placement of zero in relation to the denticles. Notice that they are slightly different. Also, as you can see by the red arrows, the VP-001/RPD-003 needs to have a second three visible in both the upper and lower loops. The example shows a little something in the upper loop, but nothing notable in the lower loop. Finally, I also placed a green arrow at the spot on the left side of the one. I am not sure that is anything of note, but would need to look at that in person, under my microscope to say for sure.

Welcome Jmon.

I agree with Jmon's assessment. First thing I noticed was that the base of the 1 didn't line up with the denticles either.
