Thanks for the input! I'm using a usb cam for pictures and using it's lighting, it's on the cheaper end and I'm debating on investing in something a little better

No matter what camera you use,there will be a learning curve with the lighting. I have two usb microscopes and had to block off all but one light @ 12k and had to filter that one. You might try not using the onboard lights and use a hand held led flashlight with a filter on it.

yes, it came with the quarter, half dollar, dollar. US Bicentennial Silver Uncirculated set.

that could be due to my horrible lighting and cheap usb cam lol I'm working on getting things better with some advice from members on here.

You misunderstand, I was trying to say, the Die that would have produced the doubling(That I thought was similar the coin you posted), Is a Clad San Fran quarter.
