Back in January of this year I sent six cents to John Wexler for attribution. One being a new variety and it is the 1963 D WDDO-051 which hasn't been added to his website yet. During the course of the last few months John and I have emailed each other a few times and we all know he has had some ailments as of late. John sent me three coins from his personal collection as a token of friendship and for being so far behind. This 2009 P FY Lincoln Cent WDDR-043 FS-801 was one of them. Collectively all three coins may not be worth a million dollars but they are priceless to me. BTW, when he told me what he was doing I emailed him back telling him he need not do this but he did anyway. We should all be so gracious as John. For me, I am glad he feels strong enough to work albeit at a slower pace and continue to pray for his health. I am Thankful we have him. I made no closeups of this cent, just two simple pics. Enjoy the pics as I will enjoy this and the other two he sent me for a lifetime.

Thank you David! Those three coins are pretty special to me, not because of what they are, but who they came from.

What a great addition and such a great gesture from a committed and truly respected collector.

We all hope he is able to enjoy the hobby as much as possible. Very tough trying to keep up with his schedule and certainly wish him the best for all he has done.
