I found this in a lot of coins. What do you think it would grade? Is it worth sending to NGC?

Thanks

Nice coin but not worth the cost of grading(my thoughts)

Borderline as to whether it's worth slabbing or not.

Never send a Canadian circulation coin to NGC, that's like sending good money after bad. Canadian collectors and collectors of Canadian don't have much faith in NGC, you might as well use ICG or NNC. If you have a Canadian coin worth slabbing and need to use a US grader it'll sell best in a PCGS slab.

I am currently putting together a graded set of Canadian Silver Dollars. Was just wandering why the PCGS graded coins seem to be more $ than the ICCS graded ones?

I find this odd. Is PCGS the preferred grader over ICCS for Canadian coins?

I think this has to do with which company is better set up for the business. PCGS has better slabs/online presence/research material/customer service and this set up has them way above ICCS (I think). For higher mint state coins 64+ PCGS has a better reputation for their records and accuracy. ICCS for us Canadians is much more convenient though and cheaper than dealing with PCGS. Crossing border / insurance etc. I also like seeing the mint state canadian coins in a PCGS slab. They feel better and more protected than the plastic flip. You also pay more for this image or this set up.
