I received this lovely 1909 VDB in today's mail. It has full cartwheel luster. The obverse is mostly red with some purple, blue and violet on the bust. There is a mark on Lincoln's cheek.

The reverse looks to be nearly full red with just a bit of violet and blue toning on the top of the left wheat stalk. There is a mark to the upper left of the C in CENT and another light one on the VDB, but the letters look complete when the coin is held upside-down.

MS 65 RB. Eye Appeal 8/10. Nice piece that's held most of its original coloration.

Very nice example, nick on the cheek and "cabinet friction" on the high points which is technically 63. I'm betting the camera is making it look worse than it does in hand. 64+

Thanks for the grades shared.

I don't think it is a valuable enough coin to submit for grading, but I won it on ebay at a reasonable price so I am happy with it.

BadThad is correct that the enlarged photos point out tiny flaws you can't see when holding the coin. It is a beautiful first year Lincoln.

I'm at 65RB. Those reverse marks would hardly be noticeable in hand.
