I thought this was a nice coin, with better surfaces than most New Orleans eagles. What do you think?

I agree. The luster on most O mint eagles is subpar, especially for the 1890s. It has good luster for the date. If I had to buy it, I would.

too. Much less hits, rim dings, and scratches than is normal. Very nice eye appeal. That one is a winner. Grade wise I'd be AU-53, Eye appeal 8/10 for grade.

There is virtually no wear, I'd be at AU-58 on this one. A really nice O Mint coin.

Quote: AU Details Cleaned That seems harsh. Surfaces to me seem pretty original, with original luster in all the right places and good color. The tiny hairlines and other marks seem consistent with light handling and/or circulation. It's definitely not mint state but otherwise seems unmolested. That's one reason I bought it!
