I saw this impaired coin for sale and I had noted that this is from the Antique Finish Set of NCLT Coins put out as a commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Mint. There is another Mirror Finish Proof Set. The Antique finish coin does not have the word CANADA anywhere on the reverse or obverse. The Mirror Finish Cent has CANADA on the obverse. A mistake no doubt on the part of the mint.
Here is the Antiqued Finish Coin I bought.
Here is the Mirrored Finish Set with CANADA on the obverse.
It was on the obverse of the 1908 Cent, from Coins and Canada site.
SilverDon would you mind taking another photo of your coin. if you dont mind just need you to take it center from the top. you might have a new variety. if you do then I need to look some more. yours is the first one that wont line up.
SilverDon I have 3 sets of these coins. two sets match eah other perfectly. I have this third set all but the penny is different.i have 3 proof sets as well you may have a penny that would be a new variety. if you want your proofs checked. I would compare them for you.if you photograph your coins. the easyest way is dead center over top. who knows you may match these new varieties. have a great one
