I'm not sure where to go to ask this , but is this real and any clue on exactly what kind it is? And is it real? I know it's a 2 escudo cob but thats all and that it weighs 6.7 grams and is 22k gold

I'm no expert but that looks like GOLD....duhhhh, I think you said that, lol in title!

Well I know it's real gold lol, but is it a real cob? I know these things are faked even with real gold, looking for opinions lol,

Well, at least I don't see "copy" stamped on it anywhere which legit reproduction companies sometimes do!

Looks like a 'pistole' or two escudos of Seville, Spain under King Philip III, circa1617 - 1621. If so, it would have Assayer letter 'G' off flan to the left of the shield.. it looks real from the photos. This is a nice find.

I am definately not an expert on these whatsoever but had to chime in on such a beautiful "coin". I would lean towards authentic myself if its 22k as you say. The surfaces and cuts all look good. Weight is fairly spot on according to the practical book of Cobs weight should be approximately 6.75g.

Thank you everyone for all of the help and for all the compliments about my coin I definitely would like to try to make a bezel for it being it's my good luck charm I can't ever stop looking at it
