wear. Even for that age, it looks like someone glued it to their shoe and slid down a sidewalk for 1000 yards. Normal coin on coin wear looks different, more smooth, this looks like someone took a grinder to it.

Appears someone tried to make that coin smaller by grinding all the edges off.

To CCF! Not an error coin. Just a damaged and altered coin. PSD. Probably shaved down to be used as a Dime in a old vending machine or something.

Altered coin. Even the edge is reduced. Looks like someone was making a copper dime out of a cent To buy a soda. Usually I see acid dipped coins to do this. But it took more time to create this fake coin.
