Hello.group I just started collecting coins
S so bear with me I found this quarter in my change and was wondering if this would be considered error or just from being in circulation. Thanks for your help

I am new as a well. def a PSD put a no mint marks in modern coin means Philadelphia, Pennsylvania happy searching my friend.

I would argue that while for sure this coin has been damaged, this amount of metal distortion is most likely through deliberate damage rather than just normal wear and tear. Of course, there is no way no know and in the end, the result is that this coin is just worth face value.
