I know almost nothing about grading, but this 1962 D penny looks to me to be in pretty great condition. But I need help grading it. Is it worth getting graded? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks all :)

It is a nice red coin, but nothing remarkable. If you had the "D over horizontal D" mint mark it would be special.

Nice coin, but it's nowhere near valuable enough to get it graded.

Rest in Peace

You have 2 spots and 2 hits on reverse of the coin . Nice but no cigars .

63 is a high mark. As suggested by everyone, not TPG worthy.

Some coins are worth the time grading:

Note even the best one does cover the costs to have it graded. When you go to sell them, a buyer will not pay more than grade prices, not the grading companies fees. So you could lose big time on having coins graded. Over $100 value coins, is what I would consider for grading. Then you would probably only get half price is the fees were taken off the selling price.
