I was lost and homeless after the Coin World forum got pulled out from under us. I wandered the net trying to find a place that I could fit in and call home. It wasn't happening! All my friends from CW had scattered into the wind but we tried to keep in touch with private emails until I finally got a couple of invites to come here! I liked the place so well I just stayed! Sent out invitations to all my old friends and now most of us are back together again! And the list of new friends just keeps growing! I really don't think there is anything this group of people can't accomplish once they set their minds to it and this new Perpetual Give A Way Set is a fine example of friends coming together. It is SOOOOOO close to a launch and when I think of this set of coins traveling the world from FRIEND to FRIEND I am just amazed at what we can and will do! This set could travel for years and I do hope some day to see it again! It is one amazing journey these coins are about to take! In a sense this is our "Moon Launch" and we are doing it on our own! Thanks to everyone here for making this such a great place to call home.

Like Terry I to was a member in the defunct CW forum. When that happened I was lost. So I wandered the internet trying to find a forum that would "immulate" CW's forum. Then I found Coin Talk. Hung out there for a bit thinking this might be the place...soon tho I got disappointed when all these young guns started joining and posting silly stuff & questions just to see there post count go up. Also, Susan disappeared from thar all of a sudden, & that worried me. Then Richard called, emailed me, & invited me over to check out this place.. . (Thanks Richard) The rest is history, I am still a member at CT, and I also joined Stujoe's coinpeople but I never, or hardly ever post in either one now. I get my fix here now. It's my new home. I also pop in once in awhile in NGC's forum.

I think Google. Back in the summer I started Googling around and found a few sites. None could hold my attention like this one. I'll occasionally(spellcheck) look at the other sites but I look at this one every day 3-4 times. So many kind words from everybody. Terry has a way with words I really like. Found a gold horseshoe when I found this site. Thanks, everybody.

It is NOT the words you use, its what you mean when you use them!

I too was a homeless former member of the CoinWorld forum, and I joined Coin Talk for awhile but never really felt at home there. I had kept in touch with some of the former CW members, and about a year ago I got e-mails on the same day from C64 and the late great Catman asking (begging) me to come over here and check this place out. How could I resist such a team effort? So you can either give them the thanks or the blame, take your pick!! Rachel [:p]

Nice pic QuarterMaine, Sean Connery rocks. Any way, I googled in coin forums and this one looked the best, and I'm sure it is.

Same here, except that CoinTalk is still my home and I do more reading than writing over here.

I was bored one night looking for people that were wanting to sell their coin collections. At the time, like we still are now, we were in the beginning stages of rebuilding our families' coin collections that were lost due to Hurricane Katrina this past year. I did a search on the word "coin" using either MSN or Google...doesn't matter which one...and there was a link to here!!! At first, I must have to admit, I thought it would be one of those boring, find nothing, and move on forums....BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! Thanks everybody!!! Since Kerri and I have joined, we have met TONS of new people, learned LOADS of valuable info, and have even added some Aussie coins to the collection (thanks to a couple people in particular)!!!! Now, we are both Knights and Knightesses, have got some great friends, and tonight (THANKS SUSAN AND DON) have realized that we may have been misleading some people on some information, but EVERYTHING turned out GREAT!!!
It's like a group called Linkin Park says, "In the end...IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER!!!" The journey is the fun part!!!! Thanks everybody for giving us someone to talk to when we have had no one!!!
