Looks nice at first glance, but baggy reverse and that jaw reeding gouge might hold this to 63.

I agree with it looking like an MS-63
BUT
I notice that you didn't mention the "S" mint mark.

An 1884-S MS-63 Morgan dollar is a 5-figure coin.
Heck, it's even in the upper 4-figure range in MS-60.

If it's not slabbed by a reputable TPG, ignore it.
It's probably a Chinese fake.
Rest in Peace

Slider 58 at best and likely would grade lower if submitted to a reputable TPG.

@Kanga... thanks man, it is slabbed. Yeah my title I Wrote out the mm as "San Fran" to get the amount of characters needed! I'm probably gonna pass on this one anyway. Theres quite a few nice ones in the au58ish area that I'm looking at. My pockets aren't deep enough for ms tho. This year mm brings big $$$ in mint state for sure!

What is the grade on the slab?

My guess would be it's an AU 58. There are literally thousands of AU 84-S Morgan's out in Coinland for some strange reason.

It was always explained to me that the policy in the banks out west was to hand-count the "mint" bags on a regular basis and that is why it is so unbelievably difficult to find a true MS "S" coin from the middle years because the hand-counting would resemble circulation. I would venture to bet this is a very nice AU 55-58 but you are not going to get a MS grade unless it is immaculate anymore.

Yes I noticed that there is an abundance of high AU 84 S coins out there. This in particular is slabbed by NGC 58. It's an older slab without the edge view but has the line in the plastic. Not sure what specific year slab.
