Won this lot (392473009749) from the 'Bay but have not yet paid for it due to multiple red flags.

Although the listing looks suspicious (broken English description), the coin looks convincing.

After winning, I asked the seller to provide a photo of the coin with his name on it, since I know it's a common scam for sellers to steal photos. Surprisingly, I did get a photo with a name saying "Cornelius Jordan" which is probably a pseudonym considering the handwriting looks like that of a Chinese person.

I'm still thinking of taking the gamble of paying for it, despite the obvious red flags, but I just want to confirm that this coin is indeed authentic. What do you guys think about its authenticity? What concerns me most is the fact that the lettering is so flat.

How can you tell the handwriting of a Chinese person ?

Have you asked for weight ? This one looks 50/50 to me. Font at the back looks a little thick.
Seller's 0 feedback and no return policy is a no no for me.

I would not have got this item. Too many suspicious things, including the appearance of the coin and a first listing from a seller in an area renowned for fake coins.

I am 100% positive it is fake.

Below is a pic of an authentic one that has about the same amount of wear as your example that you can use now and in the future as a reference.

I have the 6th sense
Also, in one of the emails the seller sent me, he (or she) used a full-width comma character rather than a normal comma, which is used only in Asian writing.

I appreciate your opinion, but can you tell how you reached this conclusion from this one picture alone?
