Hey there! I found an odd Lincoln Cent in a coin roll the other day and the whole front is blank except for a rough outline of Lincolns head. I was just wondering what kind of error it is for sure and if it is worth anything. The back side is in almost mint state, just wondering how much it would be worth, if anything at all. Thanks for your help, happy collecting!

to CCF. That might be a struck through die cap. Cool find. Check ebay sold values for an idea on current value. John1

Look more to me like a struck though a capped die. A die cap looks like this: But the adding of struck through a capped die is similar to struck through a die cap is correct, just not the correct lingo. (kind of like saying, my car has no tubes in the tires. Instead of saying I have tubeless tires on my car)

Hey I found a coin just like this but wrote it off as being dipped in wax, or something.... I'll look for it in my saved pile and post.

Coop, I mean I though it was dipped in wax as the front had a real waxy feel to it. But looks just like this one...

Coop, the coin I found looks just like this one, obverse and reverse, only the obverse felt like wax. I realize grease creates invisible like devices, as I have found my share of Struck Through Grease, but will it leave a feeling of wax like my coin has?

No. It will feel normal, but don't touch them as you will leave finger prints that eventually harm the coin: Use gloves or hold them by the edges and not touch the faces of the coin.
