Defeats the purpose of the reward for them though. They're going to have a substantial cost themselves in man hours verifying it and really the whole thing is a marketing cost when they announce it.

The people that own the 1964 Peace are the same ones that own copper 1943 LWC and aluminum LMC. They have the funds to get it and are smart enough to not advertise it. In college I dated a very very wealthy girl, her parents had several mansions in 1 I could swear one of the paintings was a davinci (that was the "impressive" one, I didn't even know about Renoir, Rembrandt or Pollock back then), I never asked and I was never told. But if anyone could have a davinci they would be it. I wish I had a 1964 Peace dollar. I wouldn't tell you or any 3rd party if I did.
