Anyone else seen this type of thing? There is a gap in the railing on my 2016 West Virginia quarte. Anything special here?

It's hard to tell from the photos. Is there a raised area of metal around the indention?

Also not that the metal is splashing outwards from the incuse mark, making me think it is PSD. (Post-Strike-Damage)

There is no raised area, almost like there is a triangle missing.

It think in the photo it sort of appears raised because the railing itself is raised and it's missing that part. So the camera is giving that illusion
