This may be my last submission for non-problem coins to ANACS. I just found out (thru their website) that my 1914-D cent is coming back as a VG-10
I've posted the coin here, had several dealers look at it in hand and even compared it to my old 1914-D (ANACS F-12). The lowest grade estimate I had was F15 with the majority going VF20. The details on the bust and wheat lines were way bolder than my older 1914-D in a side-by-side comparison.
Definitely cracking that out and crossing it.
This is in addition to my last submissions, where a solid Fine Draped Bust Half came back VG-10.

in my opinion ANACS is the strictest TPG going right now, not sure if its because of the new holder or what but when they switched to the blue holder from the small one their grading standards seemed to be very strict. I have a few that I am almost positive would upgrade at PCGS and NGC if submitted to one of them. I am not saying that is a bad thing because their grading standards now seem to be about spot on with mine and PCGS and NGC seems to always be a higher grade than I expected but I have mentioned this about ANACS grading being tight before on this forum and if I remember others agreed

It seems to me that the ICG team that took over ANACS are trying to show the world that they are comparable to PCGS & NGC's grading standards.
