While Rome rose to its heights of power, on the other side of the globe Imperial China was in its glory, and also minting coinage.

Cherrypicked out of a group that matched in color and size, but by and large were even more encrusted than this, in most cases to a degree that markings were not discernible. I have it identified as Eastern Han Wu Zhu. 25.8 mm in diameter, weight at 3.7 grams. I gather these are not uncommon, but of course in this day and age that doesn't guarantee they're not being forged anyway.

It is a nice piece. Shame things like this are getting harder to find as well as being forged.
