I have always been interested in this type because of the reverse. The reverse shows Caius on horseback. However, I also find the portrait quite attractive. Please post your coins of Augustus. Augustus (27 BC-AD 14). AR denarius (18mm, 11h). NGC VF, edge cut, scratch. Lugdunum, ca. 8 BC. DIVIF-AVGVSTVS, laureate head of Augustus right / CCAES / AVGVS F, Gaius Caesar on horseback galloping right, sword in left hand, reins in right; legionary eagle between two standards behind.
