Hey all,
I'm new at this. I dont know if that's obvious. :P
I came across this penny in my tray today and it looks a bit odd. I don't know how common of an error this is, but I'd like to know more about it.
Again, this is a 1992-D penny (circulated).
I'm noticing that the O in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is either faded or an error. The bottom of half of the second S looks that way as well.
Is this a misstrike/error? How common is this? What kinda price am I looking at here?

You've got a Grease Filled Die error, not very severe but a good find anyway!

to CCF!

and remember when looking at LMC, that area of the reverse is known for weak details. It's opposite Lincoln's shoulder, which is the deepest part of the obverse design. During the strike the metal would move into the obverse die often leaving the reverse lettering weak or even missing above the Monument.
