Hello ! Had some great responses to my 1802 Large Cent I figured I'd post another find from the same location earlier this year. Here is my 1828 Half Cent, I'm not too familiar with rarity or old coins in general but from what I've researched it seems to be a sought after coin. Any additional information would be great. The picture is before any cleaning, I'm always nervous I'd do more damage than anything. What do you all think in regards to grade? (Picture looks like it's cut but it's not, just a shadow)

Probably a VF Details coin. Not sure on the die pairing, pics aren't sharp enough, and with the dirt in the way, it makes it hard to attribute
Rest in Peace

VF, but I'm not seeing any obvious corrosion.

If it were mint I'd soak it in olive oil, out of the sun, for 6-12 months. Then pure acetone soak followed by pure water spray, followed by air dry. Whatever you do, don't rub it with ANYTHING.
