Good evening

Last night I finished bidding in the last segment of the TCNC auction...

I got a couple of coins, but was beaten on all of my other bids, to my surprise

Has the coin market taken an uptick? I noticed quite a few lots sold for more than I was expecting...

Thank you for any comments!

Now this is my personal opinion only ... I think that TCNC stands for "The Canadian Numismatic Crooks". Unless they have changed their ways, many of the coins that appear to have been sold then turn up at future auctions. Maybe it's their polite way of passing an item when it's not fetching enough money. I haven't been to one of theirs in a couple years .. .maybe they've cleaned up their act.

It's well known that they are not a transparent business.

Another possible factor is US bidders participating.
What Canadians call XF-40 a US collector may see as XF-45, hence a higher bid.
Different grading standards.
