Greasy Fingers Pillar of the Community United States 7078 Posts	Posted 11/03/2019 10:20 pm Is it completely gray from bay #2 till the rim, or does the corner of the memorial have some copper? Can't tell from picture due to the shadow on that area, if you see copper on that location, I'm thinking maybe it was a linear plating bubble that burst (copper plating worn off)....just throwing out another possiblity... Daves Errors Pillar of the Community United States 1566 Posts	Posted 11/04/2019 01:34 am I am thinking Damage,some kind of hit due to there being no copper. If it was a struck through at the time of the plating it should have gotten plated with copper and you would not see zinc. BUT I could be wrong. Closer pictures would help.
