Hi all,
Found this Washington quarter in pocket change!

I see, (marked in red) 3 die cracks, die chip on leaf and letters filled in on "WISDOM"... What is the proper term for that error? (Wisdom)
In addition, the obverse looks like it might be a die clash?

I'm Curious. Is this common for this year & State? I couldn't find another match for reference.
Thanks for your input!

to the CCF!

I think it's just multiple die chips, cracks and maybe a small rim Cud. The incuse letters on the die broke off as the coins were struck. I don't see any die clash, but I did an overlay of the Georgia State Quarter. You can check your coin against this image to look for clash marks.

Hi, thanks for your info!!!
So, are you saying these are, "die chips"?

Also, is this a common error for these Ga. Washington's?
Any idea of worth?

Die chips on the incuse devices. I've seen this before on other coins:

Hey Coop, I recently found a New Hampshire quarter exactly like your photo!

However, back to "Ga". The reason I inquired about the said Die Chips as a, " Cud" is, there's a video on the net that identifies those as, "die chips & Cuds"....(?)

Don't misunderstand me, I'm just looking for more information on this.
Also, in comparison to the die chips in your pic verses Ga. Coin. Some of the metal balls on the GA. coin look like rolled balls of metal that got stuck when cooled.
Where as, none of the die chips in your photos have that separated round ball appearance.
** Example, The "W" on Ga. Coin & in your photos looks like "Die Chips".
** On the Ga. coin, the S, D & O look like " Cuds".

Is that a Possibility?

Visualize a die. All the raised devices are incuse on the die. (Deep into the die) Incuse devices on a coin, are raised on a die. But on your coin, the area your seeing affected is raised with incuse devices on a raised area. So one the die, the raised area on the coin is set into the die, but the incuse devices are raised on the die, that is lowered area of the die. So when parts of these raised devices are chipped of, then the chip is shown as a raised area in the void.
Chips are not cuss. Cuds affect the outside of the die. That area breaks off deep on the side of the die.
